3.  Acclimatization to the Front Line

On arrival in France 62 Division was posted to V Corps, 5th Army and sent to camp in the Beauval and Bus area, which it reached on 23.1.17. Parties were attached to 19 and 32 Divisions to gain experience and between 13 and 15.2.17 62 Division relieved 32 Division in the line in the Beaumont-Hamel Sector: near the River Ancre in Map 1.
